Fashion Diary: 2013 Billboard Latin Music Awards Official Backstage Gifting Suite Presented by Wella Professionals Color Charm

Great music, amazing food and one-of-a kind gift bags filled with the latest beauty items are the perfect ingredients to a blogger's dream event. The 2013 Billboard Latin Awards Gifting Suite Presented by Wella Professionals Color Charm delivered it all beautifully. There were loads of VIP guests in attendance like Paulina Rubio and Emilio Estafan to name a few. If the guests weren't amazing enough, celebrity hairstylist and over all drop-dead gorgeous

Andy Lecompte gave my hair an amazing blowout. He is so amazing. I will be posting my interview with him on Worthy Magazine today. He had amazing advice for anyone concerned with the perfect spring time looks and proper hair care.

The gifting suite was packed with the top brands eager to show VIP guests and bloggers their latest products. The brands included but were not limited to: Dockers, VEET, Colgate toothpaste and tooth brushes, Barefoot Wine and amazing shoe designer Carlo Pazolini. Guests were gifted shoes from the designer as well as gifts from all vendors who were featured in the gifting suite. I even got a pass to a cycling class ( I am scared out of my mind but I will try it).

Fashion Diary
I was so in love with my dress that my mom (I call her BSAMS) made for me. Everyone loved the colors on the dress matched-up with my neon Cambridge Satchel ( A gift from the big bro), it was difficult to not notice me. I loved the classic vintage look so I paired it with my classic purple pump from House of Dereon and my new eye of horus earrings.

P.S. Additional atmosphere photos are courtesy of World Redeye.

Fashion Diary: Excited about MADE by Macy's

Hello again,
I hope all is well. I have a few updates that I want to stretch out into a couple posts. But the first update that I want to focus on is my Fashion Diary post. I have been handling a lot of things (not particularly well). So when I received an awesome dress from Macy's, my entire week-- really my entire month-- was MADE. I had to share my excitement about the Macy's Made 4 Impulse collection.

The collection is a result of an initiative co-founded by Jenné Lombardo, Mazdack Rassi and Keith Baptista during Macy's MADE Fashion Week. All pieces are available exclusively in 150 Macy's department stores: Macy’s Boca Raton Town Center, Broward Mall, Galleria Fort Lauderdale, City Place, Aventura, Pembroke Lakes, South Beach and Dadeland locally.

The collection is designed to encourage personal style. It references “modern school boy,” feminine grunge” and “graphics” in its interpretation of silhouettes, which include “perfect” tanks, skater skirts, and classic outerwear, as well as new looks in pants, tops and dresses. The MADE Fashion Week for Impulse collection range in price from approximately $39 to $139, which is something that I love!!

About MADE

Now in its seventh season, MADE Fashion Week continues to showcase outstanding design talent and harness the energy of the global creative communities. I hope you like the pics!! Many thanks to Macy's for sending over the amazing dress which I rocked the same day that I got it to the Fashion Designer Expo in Miami (I will cover that in a upcoming post).

Make sure you check out the collection, which is available online and in Macy's department stores now.

XOXO

Go Gators

Hello,
I didn't get a chance to share this, but this was a piece of news that made my day to see. While I was at UF, I pretty much kept to myself and my college. So it's always kind of cool to be recognized by your undergrad school.
The Gator Nation is every where.

Nuance By Salma Hayek

Hello,
I hope all is well. I must be honest. I spent quite some time sitting over my laptop trying to conjure up the perfect linguistic ingredients to start this post off. In the end, simple honesty was the best approach. This past Thursday was a wonderful day for me solely because I was afforded a wonderful experience at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel Spa in Miami to enjoy two spa treatments from the amazing products in CVS and Salma Hayek's skin care line called Nuance Salma Hayek.

Nuance was actually launched in August 2011 by CVS and Salma Hayek giving the cosmetic line time to flourish and evolve. The collection now consists of over 500 different products all catering to the everyday woman on the go who is concerned with taking care of their skin. The exclusive line has all facets of personal grooming covered. There are hair products, cosmetic and cleansing products.  One look at the natural ingredients that were on display in the spa's product room, and I was sold on the product line's effectiveness and great quality. The product room was filled with espresso beans, cucumbers, aloe and avocados to name a few.

I received a manicure and an anti-aging facial while snacking on delicious bites and catching up with a few familiar bloggers. At the end of spa treatments, everyone was given a swag bag to rival all swag bags. The cloth bags came complete with full size products from beauty line. I am so excited to try out the facial blotting papers, nail laquer, coupons to shop the line and cleansing gel among other things.
Make sure you check the line out the next time you are at CVS.
Hope you like.

You are worthy

My Miami Fashion Week Experience

This past week was Miami International Fashion Week and Funksion Fashion Week. So needless to say, I have been running all over Miami.

I have to admit that I really enjoyed Miami International Fashion Week. The week did an amazing job of making sure different cultures were represented. I was pretty nervous about going. My photographers had a few personal issues and couldn't make it out there with me. So I was charged with the task of being my own photographer and being alone.

But I was fortunate to run into a few familiar faces and I even had a few friends who were able to accompany me to the week. Talented designer, Ciera Hill and gifted media master, Miss Tracy A made it out to the week with me.

I wanted to share a few pictures of the atmosphere on my blog. To read more about the shows make sure you swing by Worthy Magazine for pictures of the show and a quick review of the week.

I even made a friend, which is rather rare for me at times. The amazing lady behind the blog Cha Cha the Fashion Genius was a style inspiration and an amazing connect to make.

She looked amazing every night that I saw her. For the majority of the week, I wore custom designs from the one and only B Sams (that is in fact what I call my mom).

Charnele Michel of Cha Cha the Fashion Genius Killed on the second night in a beautiful design from
African designer Ariane Fonseca of Yhaniqua Lopes.

Charnele's shoe game was insane! I was obsessed with her nail polish on the first night of the week.

B Sams did me proud with her satin white romper accented with a beautiful black lace belt. I even got a few requests for this design. I am all to happy to keep my mom busy that way she doesn't notice how often I sneak into her closet.

Ciera Hill of Heavenly Brat looked effortlessly stylish on Friday night

I was at a loss for words when I saw this design from B Sams. This was such a strong and classic look that I wore Thursday night that I named this pretty little number the Olivia Pope!! (Yes I do love Scandal and Shonda Rhymes)

Cha Cha looking stylish and comfortable on Friday night

Miss Tracy A rocking the sassiest long romper I ever laid eyes upon.
This was my last night, Friday. I opted for a casual effortless look paired with my favorite vintage blazer a wonderful gift from my grandmother. The headband that I wore for a fair portion of the week was actually an awesome score from an event swag bag at the Macy's for Impulse event.

Many thanks to Charnele for snapping this awesome picture of my weird accessories.

Well that was my fashion week experience. There was amazing food and drinks and wonderfully stylish and ambitious people. I had a wonderful time. More pictures can actually be found on my Instagram page. If you are into it, make sure you follow me- @Iamworthy_jc

Special thanks to Charnele for taking some amazing pictures!!!
